Stream of Laziness Sunday

I’m hooking up with Fadra again for Stream of Consciousness Sunday but I’m calling it Stream of Laziness since I’m feeling so ultra-lazy now that I’m home from Florida. So here I go, 5 minutes of brain dump.

Thursday afternoon Henry and I left for Florida with my mom and dad. Well, we went to Fort Valley and spent the night. Then we left on Friday morning. I had dinner with my sweet friend Amy on Thursday night. I love her! She’s so sweet and genuine (hi amy!!)

Friday we left and from then until now I have felt more overwhelmed than I have in a while. I don’t do crowds, I don’t do loud, I am very quiet these days and the weekend was anything but. My nephew had his birthday party and there were approximately 3.2 million people there. 3.1 million of those were 5 year olds. The others were parents.

I realized that I really do prefer quiet and small intimate gatherings. My heartrate was up, my head hurt and I felt like I was looking down on the party, not enjoying it. Though I DID enjoy it. I also got to paint cute faces. That was FUN!

I love seeing my sister and her family! They’re so different than us and yet, we’re very much alike.

My favorite line of the weekend was to my Mama. She talks and talks and talks and finally I looked at her and asked her if she’d like some superglue lipgloss. Henry thought that was the funniest thing in the world!

Had a blast, but am glad to be home.

AND the 5 minutes is up. Wow. That goes so fast!
